Ochsenhausen
- Ochsenhausen is located on the Upper Swabian Baroque Road, between Ulm and Lake Constance in the heart of Upper Swabia. The city offers cultural events, historical sight as well as traditional festivals (see event calendar).
Be it carnival, the famous night parade, the St. George's ride on the first Sunday in May, the herb festival, the Öchslefest or the atmospheric "Christmas Market in the Kingdom of Heaven of the Baroque".
Discover Ochsenhausen on a walk, let yourself be guided through the monastery complex with the abbey church, the convent building with the observatory and the monastery museum, or drive comfortably through the city and its surroundings.
One of the most beautiful walks in Upper Swabia, the Krummbachweg, is located on the outskirts of Ochsenhausen. There is much to discover here and in the associated adventure forest, such as the witches house and in the Advent a crib and much more.
In summer, the natural outdoor pool Ziegelweiher provides fun and refreshment.
With the Öchsle Museum Railway, you can enjoy a train ride as it did one hundred years ago. Along the railway line, the Öchsle cycle path leads along paved secondary roads so that you can negotiate the outward journey by bicycle, and then chauffeur yourself leisurely on the return journey.
