- Upper Swabia is the land of lakes and ponds. In the diverse offerings of nature conservation centers can experience the natural landscape up close and learn a lot of interesting facts. Throughout the year numerous events take place in the holiday region of Upper Swabia-Allgäu between the Danube and Lake Constance. Each season has its own highlights; In summer, home festivals are absolute visitor magnets. The open-air museums, such as the farmhouse museum Allgäu-Oberschwaben Wolfegg and the Upper Swabian museum village Kürnbach testify to the life in rural Upper Swabia. In mid-November, the first romantic Christmas markets along the Upper Swabian Baroque Street will be opening their doors. Famous are also the Osterbrunnen in Oberstadion or the various special trips with the Öchsle-Bahn from Ochsenhausen.
